Shelita Buffet

Broken Hill’s bold, big‑hearted drag queen, known for turning her own journey of self‑acceptance into a beacon for queer people across the outback. Born and raised locally, she transformed years of struggling with identity into a vibrant celebration of pride, resilience and visibility. Since debuting in 2016, Shelita has become an iconic regional performer, representing Broken Hill on national stages, screens and festivals. She continues to champion LGBTQIA+ stories through drag, community events and the Rainbow In The Outback Festival, founded with her partner Alvin. Shelita stands as a colourful ambassador for country queer life, proving you can thrive exactly as you are.

Freddie Merkin

Melbourne‑based drag king celebrated for his bold, hairy, high‑energy persona and unmistakable bushy upper lip. Known for his spandex‑heavy wardrobe and cheeky swagger, he’s built a reputation for making audiences question exactly what they’re feeling as he struts across the stage. Freddie was crowned Favourite Drag King at the inaugural MEDEAs, recognising his impact and presence within Naarm’s vibrant drag community. His performances blend classic party anthems, humour, and magnetic showmanship, earning him a loyal following across festivals, venues, and queer events. Freddie Merkin continues to champion drag king artistry in Australia, bringing charisma, camp, and a whole lot of chest hair wherever he goes.

Cliterally

Cliterally began her drag career in Alice Springs, doing Priscilla in reverse by starting in the desert before taking on the city. She quickly built a devoted following, bringing drag to Central Australia through weekly Drag Queen Bingo and regular Pride events. Now based in Melbourne, she continues to travel widely, performing and hosting across regional Victoria and beyond. Her career highlights include appearances at Sydney Mardi Gras, Groovin’ the Moo, and Midsumma Festival. With a signature blend of House, Disco, Top 40, and party classics, Cliterally always gets the dance floor moving.

Dorian Courtisan

A “gender in a blender” cabaret artist who has become a standout of the Adelaide drag and burlesque scene. Known for their chaotic blend of drag, burlesque and the occasional sideshow stunt, they’ve toured their sparkly, scandalously silly style across Australia for the past four years. In 2023 they won South Australia’s Apprentease burlesque competition, cementing their place as a rising force in queer performance. Originally from the Yorke Peninsula, Dorian moved to Adelaide in 2021, began burlesque training, and quickly launched a drag career defined by flamboyance, clownery and unapologetic queerness. In 2026 they debuted their first solo show, Self‑Made Man, at Adelaide Fringe, proving they can be whatever you want, baby — especially if you slip them $5.
