Rainbow in the Outback is built by the community and contributes to the community. We’re looking for passionate, friendly people to help bring this festival to life, whether that’s lending a hand in the lead‑up or supporting events during festival week.

By volunteering, you’re helping create a safe, inclusive, and joyful space for the LGBTIQA+ community in Broken Hill and beyond. Your time directly supports visibility, connection, and wellbeing in a region where inclusive spaces truly matter.

From market support to event operations, from welcoming guests to helping performers shine — every role makes a difference. And as a thank‑you, volunteers receive free entry on Friday and Saturday (18+) events, plus meal and beverage vouchers during events at The Old Brewery.
